Haiti Aid We are happy to receive checks for UMCOR. All you need to do is mark your check “HAITI” on the memo line. We'll be sending these checks in weekly...for awhile, at least.

UMW Sewing Work Day, Thursday January 21, 2010, 9:00 a.m.—3:00 p.m. Come help with our mission project and enjoy fellowship with your UMW friends.  If you can't come all day, come for part of the day.  You may bring a sack lunch or for $5.00, we will pick up 2 piece Kentucky Fried Chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and cole slaw. Please sign up on sheet outside the office so we know how many to plan for. We will be meeting in Room 104.  This is a new location. We need people to sew, iron, and cut fabric. Bring your sewing machine. There will be one spare sewing machine.  All other supplies will be furnished. Any questions, call Pat Kuhns.

Meet-n-Eat: February 3, Meal provided by United Methodist Women. Please write on your attendance slip if you plan to attend that meal. Cost= $3. per person, Meal will be served from 5:20 - 6:20. This is an All-Church Fellowship Opportunity...reservations are helpful!

March 13 Handbell Festival The Illinois Great Rivers Conference Chapter of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts will hold its 22nd annual handbell festival on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Northfield Inn, Springfield, Illinois. This all-day event is open to handbell choirs and/or individual ringers from throughout the Midwest. Registration deadline is Saturday, February 13, 2010. For additional information, contact Marilyn Hirschman,.(call office for her contact information).

Hospitals Mary Jane Burnstine and Shanelle Petitte are patients at St. John’s Hospital. Ed Wolf was a patient at Memorial Medical Center but was recently moved to Capital Care, Room 212.

Condolences Our sympathies to the family of Carole Temple who passed away last week.

Mission Miles Pennies UMW are again saving pennies for Mission Miles. The “money jar” will be on the table in the Narthex.
