The Mystery of the Manger, Its the Gospel Truth It's time once again to begin rehearsals for the Children and Youth Christmas musical! This year, we will be presenting "The Mystery of the Manger". There are many speaking and singing parts for all children and youth who would like to be a part of this. We will discuss parts at the first rehearsal. We will begin rehearsals on Sunday, October 14th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Rehearsals will be held each Sunday at this time, with the performance being on December 2nd. All participants will be served lunch at each rehearsal. We will practice in the sanctuary immediately following Sunday worship service. Preschool children do not need to attend all rehearsals. There is a special part for them in the musical, and I will add them in at a later time. I hope that everyone will want to be a part of this! It is a really fun one! -Bekah Philbrick

Children and Youth Christmas Musical
Rehearsals begin October 8, 11:45-1:45. Lunch will be provided. All children, Kindergarten through High School, are invited to attend. Weekly rehearsals are scheduled. Performance date: December 17 during worship service.
Pre-School parents will need to evaluate their child’s ability to concentrate and stand (mostly) still for 45 minutes at a go. All Pre-School children will be given an opportunity to participate in the musical in some way, should you decide weekly rehearsals are too intense for your very young child. Feel free to give this first rehearsal a try if you would like to see how your pre-schooler responds.
Wesley Ringers Needs YOU!! The bell choir needs new ringers this year to be able to play the five octaves of bells we have.
Currently, Wesley Ringers practice on Monday nights from 6 to 7:00 p.m. Would there be people interested in joining the bell choir if we moved rehearsals to another night—the two possibilities would be Wednesday night from 6 to 7:00 p.m. or Thursday night before Chancel Choir.
Don’t be intimidated. It is not difficult to learn to ring and there are wonderful people to help you. Are there any high school members who would like to join? There are many church bell choirs that are a combination of high school and adult ringers. Without more ringers, we will only be able to do small ensemble pieces.
Please dash to your phones or computers and call or e-mail Janet Sublett now. Do not pass go, do not collect $200, just say, “Yes, I would like to join this year!!!”
The Music Department is offering music opportunities to other age groups. Any 6th through 12th grade youth who are interested in singing or playing an instrument in church, please contact Bekah Philbrick. We would like to include this age group in the music of the church.
